K-9 Dino Retires

Worcester County Sheriff's Office

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office is announcing the retirement of K-9 Dino. K-9 Dino has developed a medical condition that has limited his breathing and well being. Although the desire to serve and protect is still there, he is no longer able to perform his duties without risk to his health. K-9 Dino will now become his handlers pet and enjoy the life of being a devoted partner and just being a dog.
K-9 Dino is a 10 year old Labrador retriever and during his service with the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, K-9 Dino seized approximately 1996.2 grams of Marijuana / THC, 780.6 grams of Cocaine, 244 Ecstasy Pills, 3 firearms, 26 grams of Heroin, and $604,135.00 in United States Currency. We are extremely proud of his accomplishments and his service to the citizens of Worcester County. His achievements and record are extremely impressive. Sheriff Mason wishes K-9 Dino a lengthy retirement and salutes him for job well done. Our Best Wishes are extended to him for a recovery and comfortable lifestyle.

Yes, these dogs are amazing...he deserves to enjoy just being a family pet. Please don't forget that service dogs' veterinary bills are usually no longer covered by their department after retirement. Donate to "Gary's Fund" at Healing Hands Animal Hospital in Salisbury, MD to build a "bank" for these dogs' care in their golden years!
