Boston Marathon Director Part Of Team To Bring Back Bay Bridge Run

It had been a tradition for more than 30 years, the annual Chesapeake Bay Bridge Walk and Governor's Bay Bridge Run.

The tradition ended in 2006, when the Maryland Transportation Authority decided it was too costly, and there were too many security concerns related to the event.

The event though is returning next year as the "Across the Bay 10K," a 6.2-mile run that will include crossing the 4.3-mile eastbound span of the bridge.

Will there be a security drill that day like at the last Boston Marathon?

Good Lord! You're going to allow ordinary citizens manually traverse the bridge they travel every day and observe at a running/ trotting pace the total disrepair, cracks, rusted out guardrail bolts and other deficiencies? Holy crap! Omalley will have to ignore more than 4 thousand complaints!

How will he do this?
