The DT is one of the most worthless piece of journalisms I have ever witnessed. What a pathetic piece of propaganda - all it does is provide lip service or solace to what everyone knows is occurring here in Wicomico/Salisbury. Why don't they show the numbers to reflect what has really occurred in our local economy.
It is most unfortunate that The Daily Times cannot do better.

I agree with the author - The Daily Times is, indeed, a worthless media. No objectivity, bias, late & old news, and they can't even get it right most times.
I agree with the last poster - don't waste your money.
When I saw the article in this mornings paper, I thought something was wrong as I looked for some statistics to back-up their claim. Guess what - there isn't any. The article is based on emotion.
They should be ashamed lies omissions bias a dis service to the well being of the city.in bed with the 1% no longer the watchdogs for the masses...daily times is part of the problem....
where do they get their reporters? this is 3rd grade work at best. the editor seems clueless. I don't get why they can't see this is pour journalism. story; incomplete, skewed, twisted; just plain junk. told nothing to the reader.
The have a community group that helps write the editorials. I'm sure these people are proud. The dt's leadership just gets ideas in their collective heads and trusts so ideas as established fact. Its just not. Sunday's editorial is the most important one of the week. You would think they would just try harder 1 day of the week.

No I do not work for the DT but I am a reader. There is good to be found in everything including the DT. I do not read it for only editorials. An editorial is liken to a blog. It is only an opinion of the writer, not news.
Pat Peterson is on the editorial board, she is retired from Wicomico County, one of Rick Pollitt's lackys. Peterson took early retirement and is clueless about the local economy.
The DT is really a commentary regarding today's print news media. Like it or not but today's generation now receives the bulk of their "news" via social media outlet(S). True journalism which can often times be a painful process for the journalist has been eroding since the Kennedy assassination, where sensationalist "investigative" journalism and claim to fame began to trump objective presentation of facts. Today we have the "journalistic" race to be first, and verification of facts a bothersome second.. if at all.
This also unfortunately under scores our political divide which is now rooted in "emotive feel good" solutions vs solutions based upon an "objective, common sense get your house in order" approach.
Proof of what I say is that.. you are reading this (New Media) right now. Take a moment and really search the core of how you respond.. emotionally.. or analytically?

The DT just plain out sucks. The only thing that paper is good for is the obituaries. They announced yesterday we have a buffalo wild wings after it has been here for some time now. Just goes to show you how out dated the paper is.
Count me as one of those who trashed the old editor. The new crew, however, makes the former guy look like a genius. This new leadership is utterly clueless. They don't know AND they don't care.
