Smart move would be Barb Duncan. She k owns how to organize and rightsize for efficiency. I think she could fix the. City singlehandedly, but probably wouldn't align very well with Ireton's agenda to maintain government incompetence at our expense. Barkley could serve as SPD chief while Duncan gets the bigger picture in order.

That was exactly my plan if I was elected, if Barbara would accept the offer.
Ivan would become Police Chief and together Barbara and I would have had the City in order in just over a year.
Once again, it was the citizens election to lose. Ireton isn't smart enough to make such an offer, nor does he have the experience to know who would have been best for the position.
Remember, (with all due respect) these Department Heads are working for local government because they would NEVER make it in the real business world.
