Maryland House Passes Medical Marijuana Measure
The House voted 108-28 for the bill on Monday. The measure now goes to the Senate.

So the MD government is going to make pot legal, recognize gay marriage but take away the right for people to protect themselves. Next it will be only the gays and drug dealers that will be allowed to get CCWs to protect themselves from the right wing "Bible and gun clingers". Go figure. What has happened to this once great country! If I didn't have so many obligations, I'd leave this communist state!

If I had my druthers, I'd leave this God forsaken state. Our Governor and his henchmen are no more than rulers, sucking the middle class out of everything they have worked for.
I hang my head when asked where I am am from, and say "Maryland - land of the over taxed, over burden, middle class and home to the "gimmees", the illegals, the gay married, the gunless," and now I get to add - "free dope for the druggies".
As they snicker about my poor moral less State I remind them OweMalley is running for Prez and IF he wins, all of the USA will be living as Marylanders. Owebama has started us down the path and OweMalley will finish the course.
The gays, the illegals, and the druggies are now on flight to Maryland and I cannot escape. 1) I will have to sell my vehicle as gas will be out of my price range and 2) I will not divorce my hubby and he won't leave Maryland because he cannot pick his land up and carry it with him - land that has been farmed by his family for four generations - land Owebama and OweMalloy think is theirs.
The drug war has wasted billions of dollars. Decriminalization is a step in the right direction. Let's legalize it, regulate it, tax the snot out of it and increase penalties for selling or giving it to minors or driving under its influence.
In other words, if someone wants to waste their life and time as an adult, then let them. No more nanny state. If you feel that behavior is wrong, then talk to them about it. But it shouldn't be up to the government to save people from themselves. You're an adult, act like it.
This is exactly what happens when we listen and give any sympathy to people who are left-thinking. When one of those groups of people start to whine, and threaten to sue, the right caves in. This needs to stop immediately.
No special treatment for medical dope, no special marriage treatment of all gays, or any other group. Don't like it, go somewhere else.
The reason they passed this law is marijuana can now be taxed. The only reason Maryland Democrats pass any law is to raise a tax on it.
this is what we're doing at our house. we are retired and money is very tight to say the least.
planting "wacky weed" on our property. great cash crop, will be great for medicinal purposes and will help us sleep through the night.
having a french drain dug up and installed on our property so we won't have to pay for the blasted new drain field required by this county ($300 vs. $15,000). no brainer here.
installing "hunting traps" all over our property for trespassers to "enjoy".
we must adjust to the changing tide...hmmmm.
