Joe,
Is this the ordinance that the mayor and the police chief wanted to have the option of closing restaurants and bars if they had 2 infractions in 2 years?

Good. Anything affecting business needs a good look at.

Wonder who he was going to blame for this one? It's election season. He got a report from the enviro people 3 months early so he could claim credit for a cleaner river when a drought did it. He badmouths the council everywhere he goes and wrings his hands like he got no power. He's got plenty of power. Just ask those women city employees he bared all to at Mojo's.

Would Mojo's get closed down by this bill for what Ireton did there? Why isn't the business community raising hell about that?

Sure am glad I'm retired. I'd be afraid to have a business in Salisbury with all this craziness that could cost me my life's savings.

If places are like the Elks got or remember Zorro's Tavern, I could see shutting them down. They are bad news. But 2 times in 2 years doesn't sound right.

I know you got a beef with the chief, Joe, but I think she's a good egg. What she needs is a good boss, so I hopes you win.

Another STRIKE against the OUTGOING Mayor.

Some bars are taking advantage. Just pull the calls for service. The truth is going to hurt!

Actually it would be interesting to see how many calls for police were made for the local bars/restaurants. Any way to get this information?

Which Elks are you referring to? M Elks is a great place.

BTW, I don't think Joe has a beef with the police Chief. Now that acting Fire Chief is a worthless sack of crap and Jim Ireton is using him and throwing him under the bus at the same time. And guess what, he is to stupid to know he is being used. Ireton and Hoppes please go away.
