Harris Appointed To House Appropriations

Baltimore County Republican Rep. Andy Harris was appointed to serve on the powerful House Appropriations Committee on Thursday, giving the state another voice in how federal dollars are spent.

Harris, is in his second term representing the Eastern Shore and portions of Baltimore's northern suburbs. The announcement comes weeks after Maryland Democrat Barbara A. Mikulski was named as the chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Harris replaces Jo Ann Emerson, a Missouri Republican who retired.

Good for Andy, he is a great conservative representative for the Eastern Shore of Maryland. There is a least one bright spot in a dark state.

So now all those people / liberals who give their sole reason of backing Norm Conway "because he is on the appropriations committee" will now back Harris! I know, I kid. This should show them how silly that logic is. Norm needs to go!
