The woman says she bought a bag of food from her local pet store and didn’t notice anything was amiss at first, reports the BBC.
“They tucked right in because it was the morning feed, it wasn’t until I poured it into a container that I could see the bits reflecting in the light. It’s awful and completely unacceptable,” she said. She went back to the store and a manager said the food would be removed from the shelves.

I totally trust Beaver Dam pet foods made right in Delaware. It's a small company, who uses only the best ingredients and the price can not be beat because they package in plain white bags w/a small label.
Most often w/pet foods the packaging costs more than it costs to manufacture the food itself!
They have a website which lists where the food can be purchased plus other info on their products.
I did construction at a dog food plant on Delmarva and watched pallet wood and the wrap plastic go right up the auger and into the meat grinder along with the meat! Gross! Probably still happening today.
Oh my gosh, hear sooo much about recalls & dreaded "stuff" going into our animals food. It's just not acceptable.
