This is what we’re left wondering after seeing the latest investigation by CBS 5 in San Francisco into an apparent overcharging problem at Safeway stores.
As we told you about in November, undercover reporters were not only being overcharged at Safeway stores, but many of these stores were in violation of a court order requiring them to either give the customer the overcharged item for free or a $5 gift card.

Good Lord, Safeway, Giant, and Food Lion ALL overcharge! They all charge 150% what my regular store charges! The only reason I shop there is that they offer meat NOT injected with the 12% solution, which takes ALL the flavor out of the meat. And some wine. Then I have to go back to the home store.
If this article is referring to a difference between the posted price and the scanned price, then it's legit, but at 150%, a few cents won't make any difference in your monthly bill unless you can shop store #2.
