One local women’s group is leading an effort that will make sure numerous troops abroad are not forgotten during this holiday season.
The Caring for America Project of the Severna Park Republican Women’s Club is supporting Maryland National Guards troops in Afghanistan by sending Christmas stockings to them.
Although it’s an effort that the group has led for years, this year the group is aiming to send 170 stockings to troops based in Afghanistan.
