Obama Re-Election Protest Escalates At Univ. of Mississippi; Racial Slurs, 2 Arrests Reported

JACKSON, Miss. — A protest at the University of Mississippi against the re-election of President Barack Obama grew into crowd of about 400 people with shouted racial slurs as rumors of a riot spread on social media. Two people were arrested on minor charges.
The university said in a statement Wednesday that the gathering at the student union began late Tuesday night with about 30 to 40 students, but grew within 20 minutes as word spread. Some students chanted political slogans while others used derogatory racial statements and profanity, the statement said.
The incident comes just after the 50th anniversary of violent rioting that greeted the forced integration of Ole Miss with the enrollment of its first black student, James Meredith.

Wow... this actually made it to the media? College students with sense and knowledge expressing their constitutionally protected rights?

No, their demonized as a hate group.
Upsidedownland strikes again.

Lots of hateful things being said all over the place. What do you want to bet "hate speech" legislation starts popping up?

"College students with sense and knowledge expressing their constitutionally protected rights?"

Thats what took place on Tues. as they hit the polls. It continued through the night all over social media and other platforms. Running around screaming race-based hatred, no matter who you side with, is nothing but idiocy that does nothing to constructively address the issues.

Good. I used to respect the outcome of elections as the will of my fellow citizens. Not any more. I have nothing but contempt for the fools who re-elected this fraud. He is not my president. Maybe it is time to get a little nasty.

For once I agree with some college students. They are true Americans we can count on for our future.

And just last week everyone including this blog was touting the riots that Obama supporters were going to engage in. Instead it's the "students with sense and knowledge". Oh we'll, I guess as long as there are riots, you guys are happy. And people are wondering why the Republicans lost. As long as this line of "thought" continues. They will lose again in 2016.

Perfect example of how the main stream media has been making white people bad from one isolated incident yet never mention how the blacks do far worse in many groups spread out across the country. The msm never showed coverage of the all black schools and the things they were screaming. Those students acted far worse .it's like they're almost purposely inciting the blacks.once the see this.....god knows what polar bear hunting season with no limit? .I've said it before......cleaning my guns.

10:38, this wasn't a "riot." It was a protest. The Obama supporter were touting violence, that is the difference.
I'm not a fan of the racial slurs but Obama himself approves of the use of them by his association with JZ whose music is peppered with the "N" word.

to 10:38PM: If Romney had won and this protest had been against him, the protest would never had made the news. You must be one of those dumbocrats with blinders on; you and your party can do no wrong. You're wrong on that. All people, regardless of sex, race, or religion are born sinners. Once a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour he is free from the bondage of sin.

10:38's comment makes no sense. No where does it say these students were rioting which by definiton means a violent public disturbance. The obama supporters were threatening violence.

And yet, not one shred of proof of this so called derogatory racial statements and profanity? With so many camera phones and recording devices, not one! Just statements.
