Breath Test Law Could Hinder Injured Military Vet's Case

A Maryland military veteran is struggling to overcome serious injuries that police said were caused by a drunken driver, and his family is worried that a law designed to protect drivers may work against him.

Jimmy Poleto is currently learning how to live and take care of himself all over again.
"It's amazing. They're little baby steps, but he's making them,' said Poleto's mother, Frances.
The progress is remarkable considering the extensive life-threatening injuries the 27-year-old suffered. Poleto was in a coma for three months and still can't use his legs. He was the victim of a drunken driver, police said.
