Friday, Nov. 2
Veterans Day Assembly
Northwestern Elementary School

On Friday, Nov. 2, Northwestern Elementary School will honor veterans during an assembly at 9:30 a.m. Scott Taylor, a retired Navy SEAL and 1997 graduate of Mardela Middle and High School, will be in attendance to deliver a message to our students. An eight and a half year veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Mr. Taylor has the distinct honor of being the youngest Navy SEAL to ever serve our county at age 19.  Currently, one of Mr. Taylor’s occupations is to serve as a motivational speaker to Fortune 500 companies and professional sports teams.  He will share a powerful message to our students on the commitment and perseverance it takes to be successful in life. During the assembly we will also welcome local veterans’ organizations and invite community members who have served in foreign wars.  If you are a veteran or have a relative who is a veteran, please invite them to this special program.  As always, parents are welcome to attend as well. 410-677-5808
