While the new Newspaper Owner John Robinson kept telling me the McGuire's were going to get off from ALL of the charges against them, a plea deal was made this morning obviously admitting their guilt to child sex abuse. Each will get a minimum of a 15 year sentence.
The scumbags will have to file as sex offenders for the rest of their lives, should they ever make it out of jail.

How do you suppose the sex offenders list is working ??? How many children or anyone else has it protected ?? How many offenses has it stopped ?? Do you know the truth , that sex offenders are one of the LOWEST repeat criminals today and if in fact the SEX OFFENDERS list is so great WHY do we not have more offender lists to protect us from all type of so called VIOLENT offenders. Are is it okay for other type of violent offenders to run scott free to recommit crimes and ruin the world and we have no way of knowing who these people are also ... PRIME EXAMPLE :: The person who shot that person on morgan campus was wanted for other crimes. had he been tracked , listed and home checked on, maybe he had not been able to shot someone and how many other offenders that commit criems today are wanted on other charges and no list?? WHY is that ???
I'm not so sure about the 15yr min applies to Nicole. She pled to
3rd degree sex offense which has no min and max of 10. The Sex Abuse Minor she pled to has no min and 25 yr max.

What everyone seems to forget now they have to watch their _ss in jail. They don't like child sex offenders in there. Thank God he will finally get what is coming to him. Use lots of lube you loser.
An alford plea is stating that you did do the crime and that the state has enough evidence to convict you, BUT, your willing to not go to trial to save the state money and lesson your sentance for saving the state the money. This is what many guilty sex offenders do, it saves them from having to hear about all the nasty things they did to their victim. Gary K. plead to this and we all know how he still is!

Sorry, but you are only partially correct. In an Alford Plea, you maintain your innocence but acknowledge the State has enough evidence to convict. Therefore there is no trial. But the facts of the case are still read to the judge.
It looks like they did get off all charges the only thing they were guilty on with something that they took a plea on. And with that plee they can have that taken off the record. eligible for parole in eligible for parole in 3 years.

This is incorrect. They haven't been sentenced yet and when they do get sentenced, the MAXIMUM is 15 years. Not a minimum.
You have to be sentenced first before you know how many years it will be before you are eligible for parole.
I need to respond to something Mack said. Where do you get your facts that "sex offenders are the lowest repeat offenders?" Do we need to revisit the Leggs crime? And what about the man in Gumboro that raped and murdered his victim at a church day care? Both are repeat sex offenders! In fact, sex offenders often DO repeat their crimes, it is difficult to "reform" a sex offender due to the fact that they are seriously mentally ill. So, lets do ANYTHING we can to protect the innocent victims of horrible sex offenders. Post their pictures everywhere and anywhere. Let's stop trying to protect the criminal's "rights" and think about the victim. Proactive not Reactive.

SO's do have one of the lowest recidivism rates but the problem is the crime is so reprehensible in the first place a second chance is not justifiable.
