If his license was suspended, then why does it say he was required to have an interlock device on his vehicle?

Having a suspended license is for failing to pay a fine or other administrative actions. The ignition interlock is listed as a restriction on your license as a result of a DUI/DWI, and remains there until it expires regardless if your privlege to drive is suspended or revoked.

The ignition interlock, suspended privlege is only a administrative sanction. If people truly want to drive, they will and the only thing that has stopped this drunk driver is putting him in jail, becuase he will not stop drinking and he will continue to drive.

Had a cousin who was only sober when he was in jail. Ended up drinking himself to death and dying alone as he'd alienated the entire family. This guy should probably be in jail too since he's not going to stop driving.

A multiple DUI offender registry list is long overdue. And yes,I realize that technically this info may be public record, but an easily accessible registry would give everyone a heads up on multiple offenders in their neighborhood. The courts would vehemently fight this, but trust me,this is every bit as important an issue as the sex offender registry.
