About 11.5 million illegal immigrants were in the U.S. last year, a figure that was essentially unchanged from 2010, according to the latest estimate the Homeland Security Department released Friday.
Homeland Security’s demographers said recent economic and security trends appear to have halted what had been a steady rise in illegal immigration, but haven’t significantly reversed it.
“It is unlikely that the unauthorized immigrant population increased after 2007 given relatively high U.S. unemployment, improved economic conditions in Mexico, record low numbers of apprehensions of unauthorized immigrants at U.S. borders, and greater levels of border enforcement,” the demographers said in their report.

Guess DHS thinks these numbers are good. "It's unlikely that illegals increased since 2007". What a bunch of crap. Excuse me, they are now called unauthorized immigrants. But isn't it funny that they can all vote because Obama says they don't have to show an ID.

Correction my friend.. it is "undocumented." Unauthorized is to PC and to harsh.
Can you imagine how much money in taxes this country would save if the illegal aliens were deported and a fence put around this country with armed guards.
If the illegals want to come to this country to work then let them. They should be put in chain gangs and sentenced to hard labor. I bet that would deter them from sneaking into our country.
Heck lets put Obama to work on a chain gang, he snuck into this country.

Odds of becoming President for these people are pretty good. Afterall it's what we have now.
Unless the government goes after the businesses who hire them, hard, it will continue.
You need to take away the "benefit" of them coming here illegally.
They've figured out the system and have spread the word. What we have here now is a drop in the bucket compared to what it will be.
Fine the businesses, big time who hire them and start putting an end to it!
Also place an amendment to the constitution regarding anchor babies that states at least one parent MUST be a LEGAL U.S. Citizen for the child to be considered legal upon birth!
