Santorum Says Obama Agenda Not "Based on Bible"

(Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum challenged President Barack Obama's Christian beliefs on Saturday, saying White House policies were motivated by a "different theology."

A devout Roman Catholic who has risen to the top of Republican polls in recent days, Santorum said the Obama administration had failed to prevent gas prices rising and was using "political science" in the debate about climate change.

Obama's agenda is "not about you. It's not about your quality of life. It's not about your jobs. It's about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology," Santorum told supporters of the conservative Tea Party movement at a Columbus hotel.

After these three finish making fools of themselves, Ron Paul will still be standing, saying the same sane regular message he's been saying for 50 years. It's time to throw out the "claimers" and listen to the one who owns the Constitution.

In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.

6:17 -- If you're going to quote something, you should at least include the proper context so not to mislead anyone, but of course, that was probably you're goal; that, or you're just repeating something you heard on Fox News.

"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Thank you, 10:42, for the context. But you are assuming that these folks can both read and understand the meaning of context. High aspirations!

Anon 6:17 pm

He didn't even quote from the book. He made his entire statement up as evidence by what Anon 10:42pm wrote.
