Do you feel that the fire department budget is sufficient? Are there some areas that are over budgetd?

What do you see as the critical areas for the fire chief to focus on in the next 3 years?

Do you think Salisbury really needed to get a new fireboat?

I still say that the Mayor & Council are overlooking the best candidate for this position. I believe Brian Records is the best qualified to unit this department.

He at least deserves to be considered to fill this position.

Why not consider him. I don't know him & I think it's a good idea form them to interview more than one person!!!
Waste is in that Dept. too!!! Needs to be stopped !!

Do you think you should live in the town where you would be serving as Fire Chief? If not, why not?

Chief See lived in Delmar, DE. Come on now, that's petty.

Are you familar with a budget process?
If so , how would justify expenditures by line item and how would you justify capital expenditures?
Do understand what methodology means in the budget process?
Do you believe in promotions with-in the ranks by time served , or by performance?
Do you believe in progressive discipline , if so , would you terminate an employee with cause.?

Brian Records would be a great choice for fire chief., He is level headed and a good leader.
We need to choose a person who is QUALIFIED for the job.

Joe,

Here is a good question...

(Q) If given the position of SBY Fire Chief, Exactly what would you do to combat the frivolous spending (fire boat casting 900k only for 1 river and no fires)and frivolous wear and tear joy riding)on the fire vehicles and what would you do to get the support of the now and future firemen weather it be volunteer or career (paid)?

(Q) If you were in the position of knowledge and were offered 900k for a vehicle or tool from the govt but had no use for said vehicle or tool, and knowing that this vehicle or tool will cost monthly to repair or maintain and the consumption of fuel at which it uses and with the cost of fuel is still rising, would you still follow through with purchasing of this vehicle or tool or would you decline to do so or would you make other proposals in which to better use this gift?

How important is the chief and what do you think his or her responsiblites are in general?
If you are incharge of the budget,
would you have to go by last years budget to identify with spending for the comming year , if so why?
Will you take a good look at the enrollment and see if all are needed?
Is overtime needed with the way hours are?

When will you be finished with your college degree?

Are you sure you want this job?

Will you run the department, or your firemen? Also, the fire chief and police chief should live in Salisbury, faster response time and really see what is going on, don't you agree?

Rick or Brian would both be good choices.
