Troopers Probe Bear Area Robbery

Location: McDonald’s Restaurant, 1401 Governor’s Place, Bear, DE
Date of Occurrence: Friday, October 28, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
Victim: 
-82 year old Dahlgren, VA man
Suspect:   
-Black male, 5’09” tall, 230-250 lbs, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a white or light grey hooded sweatshirt and was riding a black ten speed bike.

Bear, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the strong-arm robbery of a Virginia man that occurred yesterday evening in Bear.
The incident happened at approximately 6:00 p.m. as the male victim was inside of the McDonald’s Restaurant located inside of the Governor’s Square Shopping Center, Bear, DE. The victim, who was waiting inside of the restaurant for his food order, felt someone’s hand inside of his pants pocket. The victim attempted to pull away but was pushed to the ground by a male suspect. The suspect then removed money from the victim’s pocket and fled from the restaurant. He was last seen traveling in a westbound direction through the parking lot on a black bike. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was treated and released.
