Home Invasion Robbery

On October 24, 2011 at approximately 8:20 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the seventeen hundred (1700) block of Emerson Avenue for the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with an adult male and female and their three (3) children that had been in the residence when the incident occurred. The adult male had sustained a puncture injury to his back area and was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment. Three (3) of the suspects were described as African American males and one (1) suspect was described as a Hispanic female. The males were in possession of handguns and the female was in possession of a knife. Once inside of the residence, the suspects took property and fled from the area on foot. Salisbury Police K-9 Miso conducted a track of the suspects and ultimately led to a parking area in the Northwood Industrial Park. During the track, additional evidence was recovered for processing by Salisbury Detectives.

The injury to the adult male was non life-threatening. The suspects were described as:

When will people in the area STOP opening their doors to just see who knocked. Only ones to let in are the ones that call first. It is so sad to see what the Salisbury area has become in the last few years. Nothing but "thugs etc." Also from now on these kind of thieves will start invading us with vengeance. The holidays are coming and they think it is their right to steal from honest people. Please be careful everyone.
