Are Some Foods Worth Eating Any More?

$3.99 for a half dozen store bought doughnuts, seriously?

How about a gallon of milk at almost $5.00 a gallon.

Joe, WalMart sells milk for 3.45 a gallon! Sam's Club is even less.

Prices are out of control. I wouldn't waste my very hard earned money of a luxury like this. To be completely honest I can't afford it today. Thanks for not showing the doughnuts.

I don't buy these in the food store, but if I come across a Krispy Kreme bakery, I'll stop every time.

When you buy flour, eggs, sugar, yeast and oil in bulk, you can make your own dozen for approximately .83 cents.

The best donuts are at Giant bakery....first thing in the morning! They are made fresh and for .69 you get a donut large enough to share. My favorite....the coconut!

If you can't afford it, don't buy it. Prices go up, like it or not.

thanks for the tip 10:32. I can't wait to try Giant's donuts.

If you've never tried Bay Country bakery in Cambridge, you don't know what a good donut is. When I was traveling to Cambridge every day, I got my coffee at Dunkin Donuts and my donuts at Bay Country.

I haven't seen the donut that I would pay 3.99 for 6. My money doesn't stretch that far these days. Now if I had the Independence Card, I most definitely would load up!!

For me it's not if one can afford it or not-----it's the principal of the matter--- they are "gouging the public" Big Time!
I will do without just for my own satisfaction of not "giving" them the money for the product!!

I can hear 11:12 a few years from now about a $10 can of store brand tuna or a $5 box of store brand macaroni and cheese.

I've said it before and I'll say it again you got to go to Save A Lot first, get what you need there then go on to your regular grocery store. You will end up saving alot.

it's not going to get any better. suggest you stock up on staples. get canned vegetables, fruit, beans, peanut butter, tomatoes, broth, milk and meats. get dried beans, rice, powdered milk and eggs, sugar, salt, flour, meal, other grains. make sure you get good chocolate and store everything tightly. use tupperware or get one of those "sealers". also get dried fruits.

we really need to figure this out before its too late......
