A bill cutting off funding to Planned Parenthood of Indiana is headed to the governor's desk after the House approved the measure 66 to 32.
The bill was a victory for those who say they do not want to see their tax dollars go to an organization that provides abortions.
"I believe that with passage of this legislation, we will become one of the most pro-life states in America, and I'll be proud of that," said the author, Rep. Eric Turner, R-Cicero.
It takes effect immediately. Planned Parenthood says it will seek an injunction to keep it from being enforced.

HOWEVER, these will be the exact same people who complain about all the unwanted/drug addicted babies that they have to take care of for many years thru the welfare system.
OR
They will complain that state assistance (medical) is high because so many poor people have cancer and didn't catch it in time to have it treated with out costing a small fortune.
I think most people fail to realize that planned parenthood is not all about abortions. I hope these voters take a hard long look at what failing to help fund this program will do down the road.
I am very conservative, but PP is not something that we can afford to cut.
(The whole abortion issue is mute..if you don't believe in them, then don't have one. It's that simple)

The issue is not moot, CK.
That's like saying 'If you don't believe in murder, don't shoot anyone.'
Same deal.
PP is a fraud-- they're exaggerating the amount of non-abortion 'services' they provide.
They facilitate the murder of babies with tax money.
I have a BIG problem with that.
