House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said the timing of the Rangel and Waters trials was up to the Ethics Committee.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said that the fact that Democrats on the Ethics Committee hadn't been ousted for trying two prominent party members showed that ethics had indeed been cleaned up under Nancy Pelosi's watch.
On "Fox News Sunday," Hoyer was asked the speaker's pledge to "drain the swamp" and stop ethics abuses in relation to the trials of Reps. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) that hadn't yet been scheduled.
Asked by host Chris Wallace whether the trials would come before midterm elections or not, Hoyer said that was up to Ethics Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) and ranking Republican Jo Bonner (Ala.).
"The fact of the matter is the ethics process is working," Hoyer said. "The fact of the matter is, unlike under Republicans, we haven't fired the chairman of the Ethics Committee because they went after somebody in the Democratic Party, and we haven't removed any members from the Ethics Committee. The ethics process is working."

Bail bonds are normally good for one year. If the case continues for longer than a year, additional premiums will be due and collected for each year the case goes on.
I watched Steny on Fox News Sunday. Almost everything he said was an out and out blantant lie!
