Seaford-Monday September 20, 2010 Delaware State Police Sussex Drug Task Force, Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) during the course of a drug investigation attempted to stop a vehicle in the parking lot of the Sears Department Store located at 22954 Sussex Highway Seaford Delaware.
Around 3:10 p.m. Delaware State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Silver BMW driven by Phillip L. Brewer-29 of Ellenwood Ave. Lewes Delaware. As the Troopers approached the rear of BMW and identified themselves as Police Officers, Brewer then placed his car in reverse and drove into the frontend of a Delaware State Police vehicle. Brewer then fled striking a second police vehicle along the way. As Brewer was fleeing State Troopers observed an item being thrown from the window of his BMW. The item was later determined to be 25 grams of marijuana and 5 grams of crack cocaine.
Brewer continued onto US 13 southbound disregarding two Red traffic lights at the intersections of Concord Road (CR 535) and also US 13 and Concord Road (SR 20 Seaford). Brewer next turned onto Pine Drive off O’Neal’s Road Seaford and fled from his vehicle. As Brewer fled from his vehicle he again attempted to discard of his illegal drugs. Delaware State Police found approximately 29 grams of crack cocaine which Brewer had thrown away just prior to his apprehension.
Totals of all evidence seized:
Marijuana 25 grams
Crack Cocaine 34 grams
Following a short foot pursuit Brewer was apprehended and arrested on Drug and driving related offenses. Brewer was incarcerated into Sussex Correctional Institute on $274,000 cash bond.

Marijuana and cocaine WOW didn't know people that messed with weed messed with coke too. GEEEEEZ my eyes are open maybe marijuana is a bad thing. "Its only Weed". You goofs keep thinking its only weed here is just another example of Drugs are drugs. If he only had weed he prolly would have done the same crap. Liberals need to re think this issue.
