On Saturday, June 19th, 2010 at approximately 1:49am A Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputy stopped a vehicle at Route 50 and Hall Road for a traffic violation. Upon speaking with the operator an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. The driver was identified as Vilmar DaCasta 34 years of age from Salisbury Md. Mr. DaCosta did poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.
Mr DaCosta was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and released pending trial
