Location: 2400 block Reynolds Rd, Milford DE
Date of Occurrence: Friday, April 16, 2010 at approximately 3 p.m.
Suspect: Amanda Ross, 21, Dover, DE

Resume:

Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover woman after she allegedly stabbed two victims.

This incident occurred on Friday when Amanda Ross was visiting a 34 year-old female resident at her home located in the 2400 block of Reynolds Road. Also in the home at the time was a 37 year-old boyfriend of the resident. Troopers believe Ross was visiting the residence to purchase drugs and prescription pills.

While at the residence, Ross claimed that the 37 year-old man cornered her in the kitchen and repeatedly solicited her for sex.

During the encounter Ross allegedly obtained a butcher knife from the counter and stabbed the man twice in the neck/back after he began touching her. A struggle ensued and the man was stabbed once in each arm.

Ross told troopers she tried to take the 37 year-old to the hospital, but he refused.

The man left the residence on foot and went to a neighbor's residence located on Log Cabin Rd. Ross followed the 37 year-old on foot. The victim made contact with a 48 year-old resident of a home on Log Cabin Road. The resident allowed the 37 year-old victim into the home and stood outside, attempting to prevent Ross from entering the home. A scuffle ensued resulting in a laceration to the 48 year-old male’s left arm. After troopers were called, Ross ran back to the original residence, obtained some belongings, and fled the scene.

She was taken into custody at Lakeland MHP in Dover later in the day.

Ross had changed clothing prior to her arrest; however troopers located the items nearby.

Both victims in the stabbing were treated and released from an area hospital.

Ross was charged with Assault 1st, Assault 2nd, 2 counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of Felony, and Attempted Burglary 2nd. She was arraigned received a $35,000 secured bond and was committed to the Woman’s Correctional Institute in New Castle.
