Annapolis, MD – First Lady Katie O’Malley on Saturday will attend Frederick Douglass Honor Society’s Talbot County YMCA’s “Accomplish the Possible” Race/Walk and will offer remarks at the celebration. The event honors and celebrates the life of Frederick Douglass, and participants will pass by historical points along a 10-mile route where Frederick Douglass spoke as a free man. At the race and celebration, First Lady O’Malley will join local elected officials and community leaders to support the creation of a memorial to honor Frederick Douglass on the Talbot County Courthouse lawn, celebrating both the triumph and achievements of this great American.
