This is a petition to stop facebook from charging £/$14.99 a month starting from July 2010.
Because of Facebook's huge popularity Mark Zuckerberg is getting a lot of offers from people wanting to buy Facebook. People Who WILL turn it into a paysite.
Lets all stick together on this one and let them know that we will leave Facebook if they decide to charge us to use it.

I refuse to pay as well & will discontinue using. Will gather old friends' contact info to keep in touch with them periodically.
It has been covered on several news channels; they state there will be no charge for facebook. The same thing was going around about Myspace for years, and still does from time to time. It boils down to some people have nothing better to do but start rumors.
Relax everybody- it's a hoax. It's been circulating on the internet for quite some time now. check out www.snopes.com and search for the facebook entries.
Anyone who believes this is a moron, and should have to pay the $14.99/month in Moron Tax.
Be careful - signing up for the "protest group" can be dangerous. It is a hoax.
