Richard Chapman is as far as I know still a PAID employee of the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department and the 2nd Assistant Chief to the Fire Department, his wife Paula serve as EMS Lt. to the department and is in control of order medications of the units.
Richard is guilty of taking home the EMS Chase Car and keeping it there for hours at a time.
I really want to know what the details of this are.
Rick Mills, being banned from the department for a while, you sure do like your Pittsville VFD again.
Richard Chapman has never been a competent emergency medical services provider. For his days at Lower Shore Ambulance Service, to Bishopville Fire Department, Parsonsburg Fire Department, and Lower Shore Ambulance Service.
What about the other issue swept under the rug in Pittsville?
Current Deputy Chief Whited forced to resign after he sexually assaulted a woman at a department function? At the time he was chief of the department.
Or how about the countless number of their volunteers with criminal records.
They list ALL of their volunteers on the website, I encourage all of you to research their members on the Maryland Judicial Search.

Pittsville has MANY problems. I was a memeber at Pittsville for many years and left due to the many illegal and backstabbing issues within the department. I could no longer be a part of something so bad. All I wanted to do was volunteer my time and give to my community. Little did I know what I had gotten myself in to. There are legal ways of the truth coming out. We need to find out the legal way to get these people out of the company. I know about the bar at the department. I was at the Ocean City condo and witnessed first hand the massive amounts of liquor, food, etc. Who paid for all this? Woman were getting sexually harrassed by some of the firemen. I was totally disgusted at Pittsville Fire Dept. I have since moved and joined another Department and I am impressed at the difference. These are REAL firemen who don't show up to calls with alchol on their breath and don't party after hours in their firehouse with gambeling and a bar in the firehouse. Pittsville, you do have ALOT of changes to make. Get rid of alot of the drinkers, abusers, liers and we might be able to start making good comments about you. Good luck Pittsville, until you get the troubled ones out, you will never be justified!
I used to be in Pittsville Fire Department many years ago. Yes, Pittsville has it's problems and some people in it that should not be members but who are we to judge? If you are that concerned about your local Fire Department then become involved and help change it. How can you actually judge something you have no part of? Become a member and make the changes that are needed. If you don't want to be a member then take your concerns up with the right people. Don't make yourself look stupid and inmature. Show your maturity and do it the right way. I respect all firemen and paramedics who risk their lives to save others. They are only human. We ALL make mistakes.

Your comment made no sense! I never said I was leaving my new Fire Department. I love it there. I left Pittsville because of all the mess there. I know my house is not made of glass, never claimed it to be. I have only been in TWO departments, Pittsville and the one I am in now. No complaints with my recent one and I am not going anywhere. Silly person with silly comments. You might want to go back to elementary school and learn how to read and write!

Pittsville is extremely fortunate to have one of the most highly skilled paramedics on their payroll.Im happy to know (God forbid) i ever need emergency help, that Paremedic Tony Webster is our paramedic.We need to appreciate the hard work and dedication these individuals are here to provide.
