My Question Of The Day

If Slots do go into Ocean City next year, will drive you to visit Ocean City more often or less often?

Just like other entertainment I would go once in a while. However, I do not believe that Slots will be in Ocean City, as most of the people do not want to ruin what is left of the "family" atmosphere. and I understand that they will be at the Race Tracks, which is where Delaware has their slots, which to me is a good idea.

Don't count on it. O'Malley is going to sink this state so far in debt Marylanders will be forced to approve slots for the much needed revenues.

I think I would still go to Harrington, with the money I would save on a carton of cigarettes, that would pay for the gasoline!

Fact is government sanctioned gambling is a tax on stupid people.

I have no desire to pay a stupid people taxes.

I don't go to OC now, why would I go for the slots?

It wouldn't affect me one way or the other.

What I don't understand is how slots will change anything as far as gambling goes. MD thinks Keno is not gambling?

If slots come, here come the street prostitues, more drugs, more violence. No more "family-themed" like OC tries to promote. I wonder what the slogan would be then. Maybe "Little Vegas". Cathouse here we come!!!!

Sure I'd go, it's closer than Harrington and if I'm going to play I'd just as soon keep the money in Maryland.

I wouldn't go to OC as much as I do now. I think that bringing the slots down here will increase the crime that is already bad enough, as well as provoke all of the alcoholics to gamble and drink even more since it's closer to home and they don't have to drive as far and think they won't get in trouble.

All gambling should be legalized Statewide. Local politicians should bring zoning for gambling in local jurisdictions to referendum for approval by the local residents. Let the people decide whether or not they want gambling in their areas.

let it come to oc, it wont affect me, i avoid that place as much as possible anyway. its anything but a family town. its more like a drinking town. take all the money from the tourists.

To sunnyinoc :
calm down a bit , things are not that bad. I don't know of any cathouses in Del. Although it would be a good idea to have a legal cathouse after thinking about it! Varity is the spice of life!!

Less. I have no interest in Atlantic City South.

OMG, Ocean City family themed? It hasn't been family themed for years now, what a joke. Drug deals everywhere, bars, bars and more bars and then there's the graphic t's on the boardwalk - now I really call that family themed?!?

ocean downs, the proposed slots destination, is in berlin, not o.c... the beach, hotel, family fun, etc., areas are still several miles east...

We take the kids anyway to the 'Game' places on the Boardwalk...Might as well win $$$ instead of just tickets for junk!

The only stupid people tax I pay is $2 a week at work we pool our money together on the Big Game. The only reason I kiss that $2 away is if all the other employees win and I'm not it, be a rough job there working by myself~! LoL

If they have nice Poker Rooms, then I would be there more.

To 'sunnyinoc'. Where have you been. There is now prostition, crime, drugs in family OC all ready. How about Keno and Mega Million and rub offs. Open your eyes and forget the polioition
hog wash and entire world.

Ocean City is the biggest farce ever perpetrated on the citizens of the USA. Way OVERPRICED and about as family friendly as the Block in Baltimore. I guess when you reside in the human sewer that is the DC/Baltimore Metro Area, Ocean City is paradise. Count me as one who's staying away, slots or not.

There have been sluts in Ocean City for years and I love to drive down there to check them out. Even O'mally
has to admit that that sluts are fun......what......OH, Slots!.... never mind.

Yes Harrington has had a 200% increase in prostitution when the one there, brought in a friend and her sister.

Sorry, wish I could have a more positive opinion---I used to love OC many years ago but

No way--too crowded, too expensive-no money to gamble.
