At What Point Do You Decide To Take It Down?

Over the past couple of years I have been following this particular barn on Rt. 50. Each time I show it, it's that much closer to falling over. Well, she's definitely a leaner now and she's about to go. The question is, does Wicomico County do something about this to assure no one gets hurt, or do they leave it up to the property owner and his/her good judgment?

It won't be long though. This puppy is about to go.

If it is on private property it poses no danger to anyone other than the owners. If they occupy the building and they are injured or killed then they are responsible not to mention stupid.
I feel the government should intervene only when it is a public safety hazard.

Calling for 20 to 30 MPH winds tonight, maybe tonight she'll go down.

The City of Pocomoke sent their inspector to this property and passed it.

If its a pass in Pocomoke it should be good enough for y'all up North.

This is what kind of evil genius I am. Imagine if you will a Springtime Saturday night in the near future. 15 kegs+ 1 pack matches+800 plus SU students (minus drinking and driving)=one excellent bonfire site to inform young voters of pressing city issues. You may say I'm a dreamer....

I know several folks who were saving money to repair their cars, wic co planing/zoning force them to have those vehicles removed immediatly {untaged}claiming they were dangerous/hazardous to the public. Maybe they should'a had them towed to this barn till they could afford the repairs.

I regularly drive on Gordy Mill Rd. in the Delmar area of Wicomico County, and see a burned out house that has been there like it is for several years. Occasionally I've seen bicycles thrown down in the front yard to indicate that children were "exploring" this unsafe structure. Rhetorical question...who is responsible for completing the demolition of this unsafe structure?

I'm all about that Anon 8:41. If it's on my property, it's mine. If it's mine, it's my business. More individual property rights and smaller govt.

that barn will survive your worst Delmarva storm, only to fall on a dark windless night.
