Looters are targeting restaurants and businesses left idle in the US

Businesses across the United States, some boarded up and temporarily closed while others struggle to stay open, continue to suffer from looters taking advantage of COVID-19 pandemic.

While overall crime has decreased as a result of mass shelter-in-place orders across the country, looting and burglaries have become more prominent in various cities.

Many law agencies are asking their local politicians to increase fines for people who steal from businesses during the period when businesses are shut for thecoronavirus.

Northwest Woodsman: On 28 March, I commented that this sort of civil unrest would begin based on personal experience and observations. My predictions are gradually coming to fruition as this article demonstrates. A participant on this blog responded stating that my comment was a fantasy and that I was suffering from “cabin fever”. This is now my second response to 11:34s comment dated 29 March and my question is do you believe me now? Eat crow 11:34!

The thieves were stealing wearing dark clothing at night and all the witnesses saw were floating TV's, Bar stools, Pots and pans.

Why not? The police presence is almost nonexistent as they remain in hiding. Criminals are opportunists, and it is obvious their opportunity is at hand.
