“A second Marylander has lost his life as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. On behalf of our entire state, we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and to all those who loved him.

“As the number of positive cases in Maryland continues to dramatically rise, we need everyone to take this seriously. This is a public health crisis like nothing we have ever faced before—we are all in this together, and we will get through this together.”

Why haven’t you protected the Eastern Shore, governor? People from the Western shore flooded in to OC last weekend making it much more likely that we’ll have an serious outbreak spike here.

Why is it the governor’s responsibility to force people to use common sense? People have been told for weeks to avoid large crowds. And if he makes a mandate, isn’t it the citizens’ responsibility to abide?

For every case diagnosed, there are 50 cases that are not diagnosed. Get it? Diagnosed cases are just a glimpse into the future, and the hospitals are already full. If even the uneducated don't get what the government is doing and why they are doing what they are doing, this is it folks. Do it or die. We will self quarantine and self isolate until the infected are recovered or dead. The economy be damned in the short term. It will recover. Still don't get it? Then you are just stupid and soon to be either infected and recovered (if there's a hospital bed for you), or dead. America, the Americans that heed the government directives, will survive. The rest will have to die or get sick to get the message.
