It seems like there are a lot of small town and cities being robbed by their employees. The light sentences being imposed on those being caught are probably the reason this keeps happening. Remember the Pittsville theft when $170K was stolen and she only got 7 years and was out in 2?

You really dont think a 7yr sentence AND all the money was payed back is a fair sentence? I would hate to see your punishment if someone was speeding g or ran a red light!

Seems like every small town on the shore has a woman in a government position, stealing tons of money. Unbelievable that they get away with it so long before they are caught. They are thieves, but their bosses are incompetent not to safeguard out tax monies any better than that.

The money that was paid back came from her crooked daddy. He was in on the theft scheme as much as you were. Carla

11.39 The money was Not paid back! The town was given some of Mr Moore,s inherited worthless wetland property out on a tax ditch behind the town.Trent is going to give the town the 170k for all the favors they have provided him. Do some research and see who in the town he has bailed out.
