Man sentenced to 16 years in prison for burning church’s pride flag

An Iowa man was sentenced to serve 16 years behind bars after he tore down a rainbow flag symbolizing gay pride from the front of a church and burned it.

Adolfo Martinez, 30, was found guilty of a felony hate crime and third-degree harassment after he tore down the pride flag displayed in front of the United Church of Christ in Ames, Iowa. Martinez ripped down the flag and walked it over to Dangerous Curves Gentleman’s Club, where police say he was a regular.

Martinez, who has two other felonies, received the maximum sentence of 16 years for his crimes because he was a habitual offender. When he committed the crimes in June, he told KCCI that he did it because he despises homosexuality.

Doesnt make sense. Burn a flag that represents the mentally ill and you go to prison. Burn the American flag which represents the greatest nation on earth you get a book deal and a heroes tour around the msm.

Burn an American flag and it's "freedom of speech".

Burn the gay flag and it's 16 YEARS (??!!) in PRISON...

Keep your guns loaded and plenty of ammo close by.
Things are getting really crazy.

He HAS to appeal 16 years.

Keep cheering.

WTF

9:40 clearly the judge has a partisan social agenda. He should not be removed. He should be euthanized.

It clearly seems that this punishment could be described as Cruel and Unusual without a doubt! Surely this punishment will not stand.

I hope he has, or gets, good legal representation to appeal the sentence. The punishment doesn't not fit the crime, and is worthy of being overturned.

America?

What is that?

This is communism (Cabalism, Freemasonry).

Northwest Woodsman: I’m a real law and order guy and I support stiff and maybe even cruel punishment for bad acts, but burning a rainbow flag? How is it possible that real violent criminals sometimes (most times) are given reduced sentences or probation and because this guy insulted and offended fa$s, he gets 16 years. I’d call that perverted justice.

I saw a man in OC court get a year probation for multiple bags of cocaine and a loaded handgun. WTF is this?!

Did any of you read the article at all?

It was 16 years because this is his THIRD FELONY.

It wouldn't matter WHAT felony... it just happened to be THIS one.

So NO, he was not sentenced to 16 years for burning a gay pride flag... and if that is ALL he had ever done, then YES it would be uncalled for and extreme.

BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE! He got the maximum penalty because IT'S HIS THIRD FELONY CONVICTION.

Take some time to gather all the facts folks.

The big promotional push for homosexuality is targeting white children so the birth rate of white peoples drops
