Democrats in Virginia may override local zoning to bring high-density housing, including public housing, to every neighborhood statewide — whether residents want it or not.
The measure could quickly transform the suburban lifestyle enjoyed by millions, permitting duplexes to be built on suburban lots in neighborhoods previously consisting of quiet streets and open green spaces. Proponents of “upzoning” say the changes are necessary because suburbs are bastions of segregation and elitism, as well as bad for the environment.
The move, which aims to provide “affordable housing,” might be fiercely opposed by local officials throughout the state, who have deliberately created and preserved neighborhoods with particular character — some dense and walkable, others semi-rural and private — to accommodate people’s various preferences.

These people are completely off of their rocker! Instead of forcing this so-called desegregation on the suburbs, why don't they truly educate the dumb masses in areas that will get them well-paying jobs and let them move into the'burbs themselves. Of course the idiot who had this idea is a foreigner from the middle east. All that's being done here is the expression of urban sprawl! If all choice is really that big of a deal to urban dwellers, then why not offer vouchers?

In order to keep your sanity in the midst of all this, you need to realize that the things these people are saying and doing are a crystal clear demonstration of who and what they are.
There are still a lot of democrats/liberals that haven't quite awakened yet, and are still spouting their liberal diatribe from memory, but fairly soon many of them will realize that what they are seeing is what they've been preaching..
Then, all of a sudden, the light will come on.

The Dems are planning to bring millions more illegals to VA. They want to be CA of the east.
Um, this mindset is partly responsible for the White flight phenomenon. Real estate prices are decimated in single family neighborhoods by bad tenants and landlords, homeowners leave for the burbs or a retirement state, landlords buy up everything for cheap, then put tenants who don't take any pride in the neighborhood, further degrading them, along with using many times more public services than normal.
