Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) admitted Wednesday to having had an affair with a staffer on her congressional campaign.
Her admission seemed to contradict her denial the day before of an affair with a male member of her congressional staff, though the admission Wednesday may concern a different, female staffer who worked on her campaign but not in her Capitol Hill office.
The House adopted new ethics rules this year (by voice vote, not roll call vote) banning romantic relationships between members of Congress and their staffers, in response to the #metoo movement.
Rep. Hill was elected in 2018 in California’s 25th congressional district as one of seven Democrats who unseated incumbent Republicans in the Golden State. She is vice chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. She also protested vigorously against the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court last year, calling Kavanaugh a “serial predator” after he faced several sudden uncorroborated accusations from female classmates.

Northwest Woodsman: Carrying on Marxist democrat traditions. For example, jack and ted Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and who knows how many more. This really adds th her “creds” as a democrat. I think she will go far in that party.

After all, she is gaining “creds” and is in the company of the Kennedys, Lyndon Johnson and the Clinton’s. She is going to be a rising star and protected from any repercussions.
She was with her husband and female subordinate, her male campaign manager and male counterpart... this was taking place as she championed a bill FORBIDS congressman and staffers from having sex. Geez.
Democrats act like this is Rome 1600 BC. Where they have sex with everything. Drink and drug to excess. Steal, theive, and kill.
She apologized?? And so, in typical democrat-think, that's the end of it.
"Resign" is the only valid response. Then, that's the end of it.
Dear Nancy Pelosei, Remember that "no one is above the law" statement. We the people do and now that your "house" has ethics rules about sexual relations with staffers with defined consequenses, that apology by Ms. Hill did not cover it. Your move!
Of course she apologized, she got caught.
What happens when Democrats apologize? We all forgive and forget and move on to the next Republican to attack.
She's only sorry it's all gone public. I despise hypocrites
