Incident: Assault First Degree
Date of Incident: 4 August 2019
Location: 1100 block of Maple Street. Delmar, MD
Suspect: Daniel James Feyler, 40, Homeless / No Fixed Address
Narrative: On 4 August 2019 at noon, a deputy responded to a reported theft and assault in the 1100 block of Maple Street in Delmar. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a victim who stated that a subject identified as Daniel Feyler, was observed walking in the area carrying a bag of clothes that belonged to the victim. The victim stated that he confronted Feyler who then brandished a knife towards the victim. The victim stated he backed off and Feyler continued down the street.
Feyler was located in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store and was found to be in possession of both the victim’s clothes and a knife. Feyler was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Feyler in the Detention Center without bond.
Charges: Theft $100.00 to $1,500.00 and Assault 1st Degree
