ROCKVILLE, Md. (ABC7) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Montgomery County violated its own jail policy last week when it released an undocumented immigrant accused of rape despite an immigration detainer on file.
The allegations mark the latest public spat between the federal law enforcement agency and the progressive, left-leaning county. Although relations have been strained for years, they have hit a fever pitch under the leadership of Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich (D) who was sworn into office in December.
Last month, Elrich signed an executive order into law, banning Montgomery County employees from asking residents about their immigration status. The legislation also barred ICE agents from entering any secure portions of county jails, a sudden divorce from the standard operating procedure used by the Ike Leggett and Doug Duncan administrations.

Since the Patriot Act was enacted we have been warned about how authoritarian it was and that it would limit our rights. Yet when numerous people, led by the Democratic party and ex-president Obama undermine the current Administration to the point of passively and actively trying to impeach or overthrow it, nothing has been done to stop them or to punish them.
Why hasn't everyone from Clinton to Comey to Obama and on and on, not been investigated and indicted. And do not count that bogus investigation by Comey. Constant revelations of evidence are worthless if they do not result in jail time. These people keep attacking the President with immunity. It needs to stop.
And why isn't the fake news and outright lies by the MSM not subject to FCC rules and regulations?

The undocumented citizen was accused of a crime that he doesn’t understand. In his country it’s not a big deal so HOW can he be charged. He WAS NEVER told rape is illegal because he has never taken a citizen test. Thank you

Well, it's just an accusation. And he's an uninvited guest in the USA. And it will generate more work for LEOs and court staff to haul him back in prior to trial. So why shouldn't he be freed on personal recognizance?
