Nevada Senate Majority Leader Kelvin Atkinson resigned today, saying he would plead guilty to charges he used campaign funds for personal use.
"Due to mistakes I have made, I will be vacating my seat immediately," he said on the Senate floor. Atkinson thanked those who worked with him and listed accomplishments he was proud of during his time in the Legislature.
"In this most difficult of circumstances, I have been treated respectfully by the prosecutors and investigators," he said. "And I have no one to blame for this but myself in this situation."

'Mistakes' is a misnomer. It's called 'crimes'. A mistake is like when you drop an egg when you're getting it out of the fridge. A crime is when you throw it at a passing car.
Misusing Campaign Funds, Isn't that like a form of Embezzlement ?
They (Politicians) Misuse Funds and get Caught, they just resign.
In the real world, FYI raids your business and or home, do a complete
investigation, go to court, then probably jail. We all live in a different world.

It is theft from the people of the citizens. They should all sue for their money back. Even if the population of that state sue for a mere $1.00. Theft should = prison.
