First, it is important to remember that while Rome, China, Persia,etc were stable states, they often dealt with tribal confederations or more loosely organized peoples. In terms of recruiting people, this helped because one tribe could often be easily convinced to fight another for their own reasons, and the sovereign state backing them hopefully wins out as a result of two weakened enemies

May not have liked everything hes done or how hes done it, but approve of the job he is doing overall. Was concerned earlier this week when it looked like he was caving on the wall/govt shutdown. Glad he got his second wind and is fighting back for the country.

The president and his family and a couple others are the only non swamp people,he has to pick from the swamp to elect people.
He's unlike anything Washington has ever experienced. He's teaching those who can be taught to look out for the nation, rather than spending all of their time promoting themselves and their parties. What will determine the fate of the nation is whether he can educate enough of them. So far, so good.
We are approaching a massive recession, his buddies have been thrown in jail or charged with federal crimes and his most qualified advisors and cabinet members are leaving because of his stupid decisions. So far so good? Are you stupid or just blind?
