I’m usually very quiet on Facebook but I really feel like I need to post something. I wanted to make a post to warn everyone in my area, especially if you go to Salisbury mall. My friend and I went to the Salisbury mall for lunch today. As we were sitting down eating, we were approached by a young girl asking to sit with us. (Keep in mind the whole cafeteria was empty so she could of sat anywhere else) She sits at our table and tries to make small talk with us. My friend noticed a man standing a couple feet away hiding behind one of the pillars in the cafeteria. As she was talking to us, my friend noticed this man staring at us and sort of signaling this girl things. As soon as this girl sat down, there was a very eerie feeling that came with her. It was one of those unsettling feelings you get when you know something isn’t right. She kept reaching into her bag but would stop when people would notice. She seemed very nervous too because she would keep tugging on her sleeves and her actions were off. We finally tried to get up and leave, but the man approached us quickly and tried to start a new conversation to try and get us to stay. It was one of the most uncomfortable and eerie feelings in my life. I have friends who have heard about human trafficking situations around the Salisbury mall and that thought was in my mind the whole time. Moral of the story, please do not go into places alone. Be careful and be on the lookout of situations like this. It’s a sad world we live in.

So I know you’ve all seen someone post something like this before but I’m gonna put out a warning anyway.
Tonight, Travis Alan and I were at Walmart North Salisbury with both of the boys doing some shopping. There weren’t a ton of people in there so it was easy for me to notice the same couple people walking around the store. However, after the second time I noticed two older men walking oddly close to us, I got a bit weirded out. Didn’t think too much of it still but went on alert. At one point near the end of our trip, I split off from Travis with just Evan and took him to look at some Halloween stuff. I felt like someone was walking up behind us kind of close so I instinctually turned around and noticed one of the older men was walking further ahead of his counterpart, oddly close to Evan. When we made eye contact, he turned around and walked back the other way. Okay, now I was creeped. Travis caught up and we checked out. On the way to the door, I got that eery feeling again. Something told me to check and make sure Evan was close by. When I turned my head, I noticed the same man walking ahead of his counterpart yet again, this time much closer to Evan. He immediately jerks his body in the other direction as soon as I turned my head. Then they both walk the other way.
I’ve never honestly been so convinced that someone was actually attempting to kidnap my child. Tonight I absolutely was. Be vigilant. Don’t let them go off ANYWHERE without you. Even to the next aisle. The days of wandering away from your parents to look safely at toys are long gone.

Ladies Please Please PLEASE be aware of your surroundings. Today I had gone to Walmart in middletown de around noon after being there for about 25 minutes I was out in home and garden lookin at Christmas decorations and noticed a man following me he had nothing in his hand nor did he have a shopping cart. For the next 10 minutes every time I turned he was there. I I had gone back in to the store to look at the indoor decorations and again he’s there. Finally the last draw was him walking closely behind me and as I slowed down to look at heaters he popped into the isle. I started walking away and he again was right behind me so I pulled my phone out immediately and he walked away very quickly. So after thinking all these stories were just a bunch of bs I now know THEY ARE NOT!!! My kids will not be aloud to go out of my site and I will always have my phone in my hand! I normally don’t get scared or shaken up but I must say this was a huge eye opener😡 I stood in line texting my mom pacing looking around to see if he was anywhere around watching me. But he was gone! Thank god for the cashier who walked me out bc the manager just didn’t seem to care

Parents please watch your children. I am sitting at the boardwalk enjoying the festivities and a man in a wheelchair came up parked. He was next to me but ahead of me. So I was able to see over his shoulder. I look and he has his camera out zooming in on the little girls playing in the sand and boardwalk. We contacted OCPD they came over and he left. It's just sick and scary to think that some creep would be doing that. This a picture of the man in Ocean City MD taking pictures of little girls...

I was at Walmart north Salisbury a few weeks ago with my dad. He was a few aisles down from me because I was trying to rush and get everything I needed. While I was in the frozen food aisle I heard a guy say “hold on one min man” and he came down the aisle. He asked my name (probably shouldn’t have told him but I thought he was gonna be like oh okay I thought you were someone else” then he proceeded to ask me if I had a boyfriend, I told him yes, he asked me his race then asked if I liked black men. I started to walk away at this point and he goes “I can show you a much better time than he can”. Thank god I saw my dad. I know it’s not super suspicious but it still made me feel uneasy and weirded out.

Update 9/22 10:30am - Salisbury Centre Security has been in contact with police about the incident and gave me a call to check on me this morning.
Hi friends. I want to let everyone know about something really scary that happened to me today at the Centre at Salisbury in hopes of helping others out there.
As I was leaving work today, I noticed a car was following me slowly as I walked on the sidewalk around Macy’s. Once I got to my car I weaved around cars, going back and forth so as to see if I was actually being followed. The car kept driving slowly around the lot looking for me.
I went to my car, and the car pulled up in front of my car. I shook my pepper spray and the driver waved at me.
I got into my car - (now I’m thinking I shouldn’t have, as he knows what my car looks like.)
The driver waited for me to pull out and proceeded to follow me.
I drove up and down a couple aisles.
He followed.
I got out to the access road around the mall, and sped up to lose him, and swerved into another lot, then drove around to Macy’s again so I could go inside and let security know.
He was there and pulls up in front of my car, facing the other way. I had pulled out my phone to take pictures of him. I leave my car in drive and start screaming at him to roll down his window. He does. I ask him who is he? Why is he following me? Where is he from? He says no. “Cheng”. Here. No. I ask him if he is lost. If he needs help. He says no. I tell him I am going to get security.
I drive off and park in a handicap spot (with my placard from my doctor,) and race inside and let Macy’s manager and security team know. I then went to Mall Security. Mall Security made a report and escorted me to my car. We keep an eye out for the car. He is literally pulling in as we got to my car. He drove back by us. Security took a good look at him as he drove to another lot and acted like he was parking.
The security manager told me to get in my car and leave in a different direction and they were going to confront the man.
I don’t know what transpired after, but I’m real shook up. I just want to make sure people are looking out for each other, and if you don’t feel safe to please reach out to someone. I will update if I find out anymore.
Update 3:50pm - mall security confronted the man and he denied following anyone. Security explained his actions were inappropriate, and a report has been filed.
Update: 8:42pm To all who have commented saying my actions were wrong,
I am truly sorry for not being able to think fast enough, to push through the terror and panic to think of the best and most rational response - and for that I’m deeply sorry.
I was terrified. I AM terrified. Still.
If anything, I pray this post and the comments and advice can help anyone to be more vigilant, conscious, and aware.

You people better THINK! Your Mayor and Police Chief are keeping this sh!t quiet. They are NOT warning the public and or children that this IS an issue. This is an ongoing thing you can read daily on Facebook from different people. It was your election to lose. Better wake up people. Jack Heath is another part of the problem. this kind of stuff has been going on around here for years. do not ever let you children out of your sight while out shopping...they move pretty quick and so do others. ladies be prepared to protect yourselves. a can of wasp spray, pepper spray, it would be nice if we all had carry permits and learn how to use a firearm but since we cant. do what you must to protect yourself. when im At home if they walk in you can bet they wont be walking back out. Their family will be planning a funeral, i'm shooting to kill. ladies go take a class and get armed if you are not. Come on people come back to reality!! You can't carry a concealed in Maryland or pull it and kill someone for assault. However you CAN carry a knife legally or use a "walking" device and I'm sure in this type of scenario do just as much damage and walk away.
Back to 'the issue'...Lifelong citizen of Wicomico County for 71 years and have seen this problem Escalate on Steroids...It's way out of hand and Law Enforcement needs to Help Us in anyway they can. Perhaps more guards employed at the mall and instruct patrons to call a given number on their cell to alert the guards to get there immediately. Then you have those that would place 'crank' calls; just be able to track and heavily fine these people.
I would encourage people to come up with other ideas to discourage these people from preying on women and children. There are smart people that comment on this blog and then there are smart asses that comment on this blog; the latter doing us NO good. Will the thoughtful please come forward...

EVERYONE needs to be careful and very wary of strangers that seem too close or friendly. At the very least all women and older folks should carry pepper spray and always have it where it can be reached quickly. Personally I carry a gun ( no permit) but we can argue about that after my attacker is dead. I'm in my eighties and partially handicapped so what can they do to me. Md. gun laws are terrible it's almost impossible to get a concealed carry permit. Vote all those stupid Democrats out of office and maybe we can get the gun laws changed. It's holiday season, be safe folks.

Remember that these places have security cameras, whether you see them or not. Request the Manager. Find their name and file a complaint. Request review of cameras. Tell them a description and time and where they were and their actions. They can pinpoint the person and description. If they refuse call the Police right then and when they arrive do the same thing. They can review their security cameras and get the description and picture to post. Then post on SBYNEWS or FB. Always carry mace. When they are within arms reach they are in your space and you fear for your life / safety so mace they shit out of them. They will be easy to describe then and also attracts others.

Have you actually looked into any of this or these claims? One of the post that you have posted on here has a name in The Post. That name is Travis Alan. Mr Alan is a Maryland state Trooper. If this had been an actual abduction attempt why did mr. Alan not do anything about this again he is a State Trooper I looked into this and the two camo wearing fellas are store security AKA loss prevention it is hunting season and they were dressed to blend in. A lot of these stories or claims are made by attention Seekers or want to be Facebook famous people it does nothing but instill fear in people wanting to take their kids to do things again if this was an actual event that lady was with a State Trooper who did nothing I'm not even the state police officer or any type of law enforcement but I damn sure would have spoken up or confronted these men and again they are just loss prevention doing their job

Some have called the police. They take a report and that is about it. The one even said that mall security wouldn't allow them to watch the security footage unless they had a police report and the police never came to do an official report.
Don't be fooled by age either. I am an older woman and I had a man strike up a conversation with me in the mall parking lot and I just walked away asap while not trying to look rude. When I can back out at least an hour later he was still there with his windows down and trunk open. (It was a cold day to have windows open) As I approached my car I noticed there was another man in the back seat sitting low and the first guy came out and ask me to see something he had for sale in his trunk. I turned....ran back into the mall and found someone I knew to walk me out. (Could not find security ) I don't think they had security at that time. My friend came out with me and both men were back in the car with the windows down. Sounded like they were trying to start something after I got in my car and locked up. I watched my friend get into the Mall safely and call the mall....no answer....and then called the police. The white car with the windows down sat there as I left and I circled around to be sure I wasn't being followed. Don't fool yourself into thinking that if you are not young they don't want you. People think female children are more stalked and that isn't true either. Boys around the age of 9 are favorite targets I have learned. Be safe out there people...this town is like any other....and crime is rising ....
I was in Ruby Tuesday one night and a woman with her young son came up to me asking for money and after I gave her some she left with a man which may have made her ask people for money.

Law Enforcement responds to violations of the law being committed, that is why they are called law enforcement. If you want to be secure in your person, vote Republican so that law abiding citizens can lawfully defend themselves. Law enforcement are not able to respond to every call of suspicious activity, but respond according to priority.
More kids must be running away these days.Parents refuse to post an amber alert because they know who they're with.Then they come back home without any explanation to the public.
I think this is mostly horse-hockey! where are all the reports of missing people on the news?? think this would be a secret? this runs right with the over-hyped stories of kids being kidnapped at playgrounds. yes, it has happened but it has the frequency of lightening strikes on people

If you are in a situation that feels funny quickly get where you are surrounded by a lot of people. It will get worse with the holidays approaching and just in general drug users always out there they pick their victims after observing behaviors, they want quick chances and quick easy grabs. Use body strap bags ladies with a hand always on the strap and around your neck or if possible a money belt under clothes.
PEOPLE!!! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ OFFLINE!!! You say the police and mall security did this.. where did you get that information because I’m guessing none of you work for company. You read it offline bc Joe Schmo said so. If these children were endangered why are they not recording it? Kids record every stupid thing they see in the public. Why are adults dropping their children off in the mall unattended thinking its mall security to providing the babysitting for you. Get with it people. Stop believing everything you read offline. If it was true the police would have been notified and it would have been reported and announced to all of us for our protection.
Lies. Mall security works 24/7. When the mall is closed from 9pm-9am guess what.. there’s security there working.
Travis is doing something about it. He is currently working with SPD detectives. Please do not assume he did nothing.
Following isn’t a crime, nor is being in walmart, if you read the post comments she didn’t tell her husband until after the fact. Sometimes these events go unreported or are reported after the fact. If you think the police aren’t working on this and investigating this, you are sadly mistaken.
Turn around and start taking pictures or video this behavior. I'm sure they won't like having their picture taken
Why didn't you do something about it. Check for a vehicle or where they went. Call the police. That child would have been taken into custody and authorities could help with food and shelter possibly taking the child out of a bad situation. You just gave a kid money and forgot about it. Amazing
Know you surroundings. Never let your guard down. Always have your keys in hand and ready before walking to car. If it appears you are being followed in s mall turn around and look at the suspected follower. Just saying. Be safe.
One Christmas I was shopping at a mall and was about to leave to walk to my car. It was dark outside and my car was across the parking lot. When I started to open the glass door to leave the mall I saw a man's reflection watching me and following me. I had this odd feeling about what I saw so I abruptly made a complete turn and went back into the mall. The man seemed surprised. It probably was nothing but I felt it was so I made a quick decision. I later followed a group of older people leaving the mall so I stayed close walking to my car. I mention this because no matter how silly you feel it just may save your life . Be cautious.

Travis and Sara are my in laws. Travis did not know what was going on until the guy was gone. Sara does not post for attention. She posted for ppl to be aware and maybe if they keep posting something will be done. At the time Sara was 9 months pregnant so not trying to have a stressful confrontation and my nephew who was the target is autistic and can't handle stressful situations so don't judge my family.
