Wicomico County organizations present inaugural Fresh Start event

Back-to-school event set for Aug. 26

This free event is a collaborative effort between numerous Wicomico County organizations and will be held Sunday, Aug. 26, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

Children in need entering kindergarten and up will receive a free backpack with several essential school supplies. Free haircuts and fun activities will be available as well.

Families will be able to learn about community programming, health and more. There will be drawings for prizes also.

"Free!"

Only thing is, a LOT of people show up who ARE NOT in need. All they see is the word, "free". Park their Caddy's and Lexus, and suv's around the corner and show up in cheap clothes and lie like there is no tomorrow. Seen it many times.
