A Viewer Writes: ECI Question

I spoke to a friend of mine who told me that ECI has been on lock-down since Thursday June 22nd, 2018. This person was not allowed to go visit her spouse this past weekend.

Apparently, they are still currently on 'lock-down' after she called in yesterday. They will also remain on lock-down and no one will be permitted visitation this coming weekend as well.

She has no way of communicating with her spouse or checking on his status. Phone calls are not permitted either. No explanation was given or will be given by ECI. This seems a bit shady.

Just curious if you could find out what is really going on. From what I understand, 'lock-down' means no showers, no mail, no calls, nothing. Not sure why. Thus is really stressing her out as well as his family members.

They can communicate by sending a letter through the mail. Have we forgotten this is how it once worked?

Cry you a river.
They are criminals just like the illegal immigrants.
Do the crime do the time
Don't feel a bit sorry for them

Those cell bosses have to straighten up and quit making threats on the inmate's behalf, if they want their freedom back.

Funny thing is not one of them was forced to make a "reservation" to enjoy the deluxe accommodations of one of Marylands finest bed and breakfast. Suck it up fo the time and hopefully learn something for once in your life

Your 'friend' is not well informed at all. Your 'friend' is not telling you the truth. He/she is just trying to make a bad situation worse by exaggerating the facts.
Inmates are allowed to send and receive mail. Showers are permitted for the inmates, a few at a time for control purposes. They do have fans in their cell and cable TV in each cell.
Phone calls are considered a 'privilege' and as such have been suspended until the current situation is fully under control. And yes, they receive three meals a day.
