Florida family awarded just 4 cents for Gregory Hill's death by cop

A Florida family was awarded just four cents after a jury found a local sheriff partially liable for the death of a 30-year-old man who was shot by a police officer while inside his garage.

The family sued officer Christopher Newman and Sheriff Ken Mascara alleging wrongful death for the 2014 shooting of Gregory Hill, according to CNN.

Hill, a father of three, was shot by Newman three times after partially opening the garage and then closing it.

Police were investigating a complaint of loud noise when they arrived at the residence.

Newman claimed Hill was brandishing a firearm at the time. The officer was not charged with a crime.

Should have tried Mosby in Baltimore. She pays better.

The only reason the jury awarded anything was to put an end to any further litigation...

They got four dollars.

He was shot in the head but the gun they claim he brandished was found unloaded, in his back pocket, after the scene was secured.
Good thing he had the presence of mind (or what was left of it) to safely tuck the gun away after taking a bullet to the head.
It's also Florida. They ain't joking.
Heck, they ain't jokig ANYWHERE.
Keep the music down.

Hey 10:38, He put the gun in his pocket WHILE putting down the garage door. Plus, how the hell was the officer to know it was unloaded? Just another black man NOT doing as he is told by an officer of the law. But it's always the officers fault. You all never take responsibility for your own actions. Act civilized. Stop living your life as if you can do whatever you want and suffer NO consequences.
“That a black child’s pain is only worth a dollar is exactly the problem with the plight of the African-American right now. This says, black lives don’t matter,” he said." Maybe you should think this before going around killing your own kind, EVERY SINGLE DAY. You are your own worse enemy. You live a culture where having a gun on you is a mark of manhood, where having sex with multiple women and fathering multiple children is a sign of being a man. A culture where being a criminal is a badge of honor. Where disrespecting the police makes you a tough guy. Try living with morals and teach your kids some morals and respect. Maybe you will find you will be treated better. You want respect, earn it.

You brandish a weapon, the cops don't know if it's loaded or unloaded. What would you do when it came to your life in that situation?
