A coldblooded cop-killer who gunned down two of New York’s Finest — finishing one off with the officer’s own gun as he begged for his life — will soon walk out of prison a free man.
Domestic terrorist Herman Bell, one of three Black Revolutionary Army thugs who in 1971 gunned down NYPD Officers Joseph Piagentini and Waverly Jones in a cowardly ambush, has been granted parole, authorities announced Wednesday.
Despite decades of insisting that he’s a “political prisoner” who was set up, Bell finally convinced the Gov. Cuomo-appointed panel that he’s a remorseful, reformed man.
“There was nothing political about the act, as much as I thought at the time. It was murder and horribly wrong,” Bell told the board, according to its report released Wednesday.

So, if Bell killed a school teacher or a garbage truck driver, would his parole be ok. Cops do not deserve any elevated status because they are cops. They signed up and get paid to do a job. These criminals could have lured the pizza delivery guy and killed him. You cops get over yourselves and choke down some humility.

So 50 years in the pen and you think the man is just "walking free"? I think he has learned his lesson. And the cops are full of crap. 25 years to life means you are going to spend atleast 25 years and maybe life. His sentence fully fit what the judge ordered.

They should bring back publis executions,like hangings or the gilitine.
Lets hope he gets his just deserve and has to beg for his life as it is taken away.

Just because you have been arrested and hate cops don't mean you are correct. Cops are not in the same category of your said professions. Yes they need to be elevated and yes they did sign up for the job. Who else is going to sign up and protect haters like you? I'm sorry to tell you that your Mommy failed in raising your right.
