N.H. Pot Dispensaries Now Cash-Only

Lebanon — Some of New Hampshire’s medical marijuana dispensaries have begun requiring patients and their caregivers to pay in cash.

Two companies, Temescal Wellness and Prime Alternative Treatment Centers of New Hampshire, notified patients of the move to cash-only purchases in Facebook posts published this week. Debit purchases were accepted before the decision, according to New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Communications Director Jake Leon.

Temescal operates dispensaries in Lebanon and Dover, and Prime operates in Merrimack.

“It’s because the service provider discontinued their service,” Temescal’s founder and chief executive officer, Ted Rebholz, said in a phone interview on Tuesday.

The fourth dispensary operating in New Hampshire, Plymouth’s Sanctuary ATC, had no such message regarding a move to cash on its Facebook page. The dispensary’s listed phone number appeared to be disconnected and an email was not immediately returned.

Nice thing about cash, there's no way the Feds can prove a transaction illegal without a paper trail and any agent buying would need a RX card. Dodging taxes is another benefit.

If you are a LICENSED then you have NOTHING to worry about. Maryland and Delaware are all out of pocket. Prmc will NOT WRITE POT because they can't bill the insurance companies. Racket. I believe with in the next year the government will reclassify pot.

7:24 Dispensaries are still taxed even though they cannot take plastic. It is so nice to see that you are a good patriot and believe in paying your taxes.

My pot dispensary has always been "cash only." LOL

I have never bought pot using a credit card, so this is not a problem.

It's illegal for banks to accept pot cash because it's still a federal crime to sell pot.

651, are those bills stamped "Pot Money" on them, LOL!

And 905, the whole reason behind making pot "legal" the way it has been done is to generate tax revenue, dummy! Not allowing electronic transactions forces businesses to deal in cash only, and shops can make their profit margin any size they want.

REAL legalization would let everyone to just grow as many of God's plants in their own yards as they want.

Kinda like it was before, with no taxes collected.

I'm 63 and have NEVER paid tax on the pot I've bought. You?

Aren't you cute!
