Left and Right UNITE To Demand Trump Fire Sessions Over Tyrannical War On Pot

Democrats and Republicans alike are coming together to fight against the tyranny of Jeff Sessions and his war on cannabis.

This week, President Donald Trump’s Attorney General, Jeff Sessions turned back all the progress made in the war on drugs and began a federal attack on states’ rights by rescinding a policy that allowed states to make up their own minds on cannabis legalization.

This move will inevitably lead to more crime, put more cops in danger, fill more prisons, oppress more people, and bolster the police state in general.

When the federal government interferes with states’ rights by kidnapping, caging, and killing people over a plant their citizens agreed to legalize—this is not freedom—it is tyranny.

What’s more, promising to attack peaceful people for choosing to ingest a plant that can treat illness, cure addiction, and simply make people happy is the complete opposite of #MAGA.

More communist/liberal propaganda. Legalize pot so the great unwashed masses will be easier to control.

FU! It's been against the law and it still should be. The liberals simply want to replace the tobacco tax windfall with something else they can get you addicted to and continue to strangle you with taxation.

Yes Yes Yes. I never liked this Sessions guy from the jump. His stance on pot was the main reason for me, and if Trump knew Sessions would recuse himself from the Russia thingamabob, he never would have hired him.

Then Sessions made a vacancy and we had to have an election, which repubs lost! First time in 30 freaking years. Send him packing Trump.

I am so much enjoying the comedy of this so called administration falling apart. Hope he is in a prison cell next to Bill and Hillary before he does even more damage.

It's ridiculous and laughable to blame Sessions. THE LAW IS THE LAW-PERIOD END OF STORY. The blame lies exclusively on the backs of the democrats and obama AS USUAL. To blame anyone else is beyond ignorant. The democrats had control of Congress for the 1st 2 yrs of obama's presidency. They could have passed a law but instead obama choose to use his "pen" and issued a memo overlooking federal law. Memos don't cut it. Laws do.

Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the President to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." This clause, known as the Take Care Clause, requires the President to enforce all constitutionally valid Acts of Congress, regardless of his own Administration's view of their wisdom or policy.

What am I missing?

This isn't a Sessions/DoJ problem but a problem with the legislature. The DoJ doesn't create laws, it enforces them and they don't get to pick and choose which laws they enforce. Sessions is just returning to this idea.

Can someone explain how Sessions is being tyrannical? He is enforcing existing law not trying to amend/modify/ameliorate/neglect them. You know, doing his job. Like DACA and legal immigration, laws are the business of the legislature. If they should be changed, it’s up to the legislature to change them.

Congress may be the only portion of government which seems devoted to not doing its job, but rather to hoping someone else will do it … and then grousing when they do.

How Dumbass do you want to get?

Stop the doctors prescribing DOPE first! No one is getting hooked on weed, no one is dying from weed, no one is breaking into people's houses for weed money.

Just legalize it on the federal level already.

11:09 and that is what obama should have done instead of just issuing a memo not to enforce. To now blame Sessions is beyond ignorant. As the AG he doesn't get to pick and choose what laws he wants to enforce. That was how the lazy losers in the obama admin operated. This is a new day and whoever doesn't like it too bad. Same with DACA. Ghetto garbage obama ignored their plight and now Trump has to fix it. obama is typical ghetto. A lazy loser who oouldn't be bothered doing anything.

11:09 that would be the job of the congress. Ya know the ones that are screaming to fire sessions

Against the law and still should be? Beyond ignorant? What stupid and ignorant things to say. No one even knows how many laws there are on the books regardless if they are enforced or not. And of course, any AG can pick and choose which laws to enforce, even if it's on a case by case basis.

You seem to have a bias towards pot and that shows in what you say, regardless of what the majority of people now want. But keep on insulting others because you don't get what you want. It makes little difference and is beyond ignorant.
