Hey, Marylanders! According to statistics at County Health Rankings, the following list ranks Maryland counties by the percentage of adults who participate in binge drinking on a regular basis. Wondering how your county ranks? Check out this list of the 14 drunkest counties in Maryland.
NOTE: Several counties listed share the same percentage, so don’t rely too heavily on the numbered order.
Anne Arundel County tops the list with 21% of adults reporting regular binge drinking. With Annapolis having a high amount of bars per capita, this could be a contributing factor.
20% of adults here claim they regularly drink heavily. You'll start to see a trend of waterside counties making this list.
St. Mary's County is tied with Calvert County - at 20%. Could it be because a beer (or 6) is perfect when paired with views of the Bay?

Worcester county not on the list? Amazing.
they got the numbers backwards not 17% its 71% for Wicomico County
I'm not surprised Wicomico made the list. I'm very surprised Somerset didn't. Maybe their too busy with drugs?
Wonder why they pictured Hebron's Town Hall instead of the County Seat's. Is that telling us something?
Am skeptical of the percentages - how many told the truth?
Worcester broke the trend of water side counties - are have bigger liars
Somerset's largest population is inside ECI - guess they are not served whiskey
The numbers are baloney. The surveys were self-reporting. People always understate their drinking habits when asked.
The picture of the Hebron town hall is to make the county seem smaller and more rural.
Well, Well, Well!
I guess that includes Salisbury Fire Department's own Acting Deputy Chief John Drury "Dru" Bragg. Arrested on DUI twice with multiple charges and one including Narcotics/Drugs.
Then we have everyone's favorite, Captain James Lloyd "I'm Afraid Of Fire" Jester arrested for DUI in Wicomico County after drinking at a Fire Department sponsored Drunk Fest and trying to drive home.
