George W. Bush Emerges to Bash Trump, 'Nativism': ‘We Cannot Wish Globalism Away’

Former President George W. Bush delivered a public repudiation of President Donald Trump’s political identity, suggesting many aspects of the current administration are fueling division in the United States and around the world.

The former president defended the ideas of globalism, free trade, and free markets as well as foreign interventionism around the world in a speech at the George W. Bush Institute.

“We cannot wish globalism away,” Bush said, noting that the United States must sustain “wise and sustained global engagement” for the future of the country.

I'm loosing respect for "W". He sat back for eight miserable years and now wants to bust balls. Is he missing some brain waves like Fancy Nancy?

That's right we have to fight it at every turn.

Bushes and Clinton's are two sides of the same coin.

Spoken like a true elitist.

Bushes are Nazis and they got the money from banks and Soro.

Yes, lost respect for W. Guess he and the Bush family can't get over the fact that Jeb isn't our President!

The bailout of the banks in his last year convinced me that he is a blight on the office he once held. Other than the overpaid BOA fatcats, how did that help us? Looking back, he was president for more than 7 years after 9/11 and we still don't know the truth. Were all three buildings that collapsed prewired for demolition or just the one that wasn't hit? In response, Bush went after Sadaam, instead of Bin Laden, because Sadaam had ordered a hit on his Dad when Dad was visiting Israel. Again, how did that help the rest of us? Now he wants to talk about what is good for all of us?

Well we know he did not write that speech . He should stick to his finger paintings.

Globalism will eventually come... in about 300 years.

Time will show, the entire Bush clan were not in the best interest of this country in many ways. Especially illegal immigration. he may in time, be shown to have been more favorable to Dems., than Republicans.

Poor soul he never wanted to be President. I am glad he finally found his calling. He should be seen and not heard though.

Sadly, in this speech, he's sounds like Obama-lite, missing on only the stuttery pauses and every other sentence self-worship.
